Do you guarantee a better price than if I negotiated myself?

No, and we would rather be honest about it. An exceptionally patient, well-informed buyer willing to visit eight dealerships can get an excellent price alone. What we guarantee is that you won’t have to: we remove the chore, the stress and the dozens of hours. And thanks to the Zero Loss Guarantee, if our negotiation doesn’t produce at least the equivalent of your package in savings versus the listed price, we refund the difference.

Do you work with specific dealerships?

No. Acquird has no affiliation agreements, no referral contracts, and receives no commission from any dealer, manufacturer, lender or insurer. We work with whichever dealership offers the best conditions for your file, which changes with every file. Our only revenue is your package fee.

Question 3

How much does it cost?

The package depends on the target vehicle price: $497 for a vehicle under $50,000 (Essential), $997 between $50,000 and $100,000 (Advantage), $1,997 for $100,000 and up (Prestige — capped, it does not go higher). A $150 to $250 surcharge applies to more complex categories (RV, boat, tractor and equipment). Home delivery is a separate option from $250 to $500 depending on distance. Why do I have to pay before seeing a result?

Because that is exactly what protects you. A service paid by the dealer is a service that works for the dealer. By paying yourself, you become our only client and our only loyalty. Paying up front eliminates any conflict of interest — and the Zero Loss Guarantee eliminates your financial risk.

How does the Zero Loss Guarantee actually work?

We record the initially listed price of the selected vehicle when negotiation begins. If the gap between that listed price and the final negotiated price (including products removed from the financing) is smaller than your package fee, we refund the difference. Example: $497 Essential package, $300 in savings → we refund you $197. $2,400 in savings → no refund, the package has paid for itself many times over. The calculation and the proof are delivered in writing in your client portal.

What if I change my mind?

You can cancel at any time. If you cancel within 48 hours of payment and before your negotiator has made a first approach to a seller, you are refunded 100%. After that point, the portion of work already completed is retained according to the schedule in the service agreement; the rest is returned to you. If you decide not to buy at all at the end of the process, no additional fee applies — but the package is not refunded, since the work was done.

Do I still have to travel anywhere?

Once, to sign the final documents at the lender or dealership — that is a legal requirement, nobody can sign for you. If you take the Delivery option, the vehicle is then brought to your address. A test drive is recommended and we coordinate it, but it can often happen on signing day.

Question 8

Does this work for a used vehicle sold privately?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We negotiate with private sellers as readily as with dealerships. On a private sale we add extra diligence on vehicle history, liens attached to the vehicle, and the pre-purchase inspection, which we coordinate for you.

Do you also negotiate my trade-in value?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is a major part of the work. An undervalued trade-in is one of the places buyers lose the most money without realizing it, because it usually gets buried in the monthly payment math. We treat it as a separate transaction and negotiate it as one.

Which regions do you cover?

All of Canada, in all 10 provinces. Most of our work is remote (phone, email, video call), which lets us negotiate with dealerships outside your city when it works in your favour. The service is offered in French and English, by the same negotiator from start to finish.

How long does it take?

Usually 5 to 15 days for a car or motorcycle, and 10 to 30 days for a boat, RV or equipment, depending on the season and availability. If you have a genuine deadline (under 2 weeks), say so on the discovery call: we will tell you straight whether it is doable.

Are you a broker or a lender?

Accepted Answer

No. Acquird is not a dealer, an auto broker, a lender or an insurer. We act as the buyer’s agent and advisor. We do not hold your purchase funds, we do not finance, we do not insure, and we do not sign anything in your name.

Why does Acquird ask about my credit before negotiating?

So we never negotiate a deal that has to be cancelled because financing falls through. With your consent, we ask a few questions about your credit situation early in the process, before any negotiation begins.

Why do you need my SIN or a void cheque?

Accepted Answer

Only once a deal is approved and it’s time to finalize financing with the lender — never before, and always with your explicit, recorded consent.

Is my financial information safe?

Yes. We collect no social insurance number, no complete banking information and no credit card data on our servers — payments are handled by a certified payment provider. Documents shared in your portal are accessible only to you, your assigned negotiator and an administrator.

Can I hire you for a vehicle I have already found?

Absolutely, and it is common. If you have already found the vehicle, we skip the search step and put all the energy into negotiating the price, the trade-in and the financing. The package stays the same, based on the vehicle price.
